About Us
Zephyr Bee stands as a small, family-owned apiary renowned for the exceptional quality and exquisite taste of its honey.
Our 100% "farmers honey" is meticulously sourced from our own apiary in Pefferlaw, Ontario, as well as carefully selected local apiaries north of the GTA. We take pride in using raw, unpasteurized honey to preserve all the beneficial nutrients. To meet the high standards expected by our customers, we employ a meticulous process, removing any loose particles like wax and pollen through a fine sieve.
Our commitment to quality extends to the handling of our honey. Employing a gentle, slow heat process that gradually brings the product to approximately 38 degrees Celsius, we ensure the honey retains its liquid form for as long as possible, typically resisting crystallization for a month or more. This method is crucial as excessive heat can compromise the nutrients and enzymes, leading to the pasteurization of the honey. At Zephyr Bee, we prioritize maintaining the integrity of our honey, delivering a product that encapsulates the richness of nature's goodness.
At Zephyr Bee, we take pride in providing honey that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our valued customers.

Support a beekeeper!!! Buy local!!
Dave Tutt, Apiarist
Transforming beekeeping from a hobby into a business was a decision fueled by a recognition of the crucial role bees play in agriculture and their significance in the production of the foods we all consume. Unfortunately, bees are facing a decline due to various environmental factors, and it is imperative to protect, understand, and nurture them for the stability of our future.
At Zephyr Bee, we are proud members of the Ontario Beekeepers Association (OBA) and collaborate closely with local beekeepers. Our commitment is to ensure that the honey we produce meets the highest standards in terms of taste, clarity, and grading. By working together, we aim to contribute to the well-being and thriving existence of bees, fostering a sustainable and harmonious future.
